MY STORY
I've always enjoyed making things. In August of 2018, after years of watching Forged in Fire, I decided to try my hand at making knives. I started with a stock removal knife using an old file from my grandpa's shop. That quickly progressed to taking blacksmithing classes from Kilroy's Workshop in Colorado Springs, (if you are in the region check them out, they have a lot to offer), and learning how to forge a blade to shape. Bladesmithing quickly became a passion, and in 2021 I came full circle, becoming a Forged in Fire champion. The episode is season 8, Judges Takeover: Doug Marcaida. In June of 2025 I received my American Bladesmith Society Journeyman certification. You’ll find me at my home forge on my farm in the Ozarks, refining my craft and making knives for people who appreciate the work of human hands.
